IDEA (Industry Data Exchange Association) becomes the first non-European member of ETIM International, representing North America (the United States and Canada). As a member, IDEA will provide support to clients who request ETIM and create an adaptation of the ETIM model, based on the needs of the North American market. In support of the standard, Mike Wentz, Vice President of IDEA, will join the board of ETIM (General Assembly) and Mary Shaw, the Director of eBusiness Standards of IDEA, will develop and manage an ETIM committee, made up of international manufacturers and distributors, in order to follow the development of the North American adaptation of the ETIM standard.
